1. Leaderships’ Health and Wellness Management Program
A Leader’s Health and Wellness Management Program focuses on promoting the well-being of both leaders and their team members, recognizing that a healthy and engaged workforce is more productive. This program involves providing resources, support, and initiatives to enhance mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health, creating a culture where wellness is prioritized and employees feel valued.
Personal Health and Wellness Literacy is defined as knowledge, skills and attitude that is in keeping with a healthy and happy personal lifestyle. It is the knowledge and skills that enable a leader to access, understand, and use information to make informed decisions about one’s own health and well-being, empowering individuals to take ownership of their well-being and make healthy lifestyle choices.
Justification for the above lies in the realization that when young and energetic, business and corporate leaders are “eating” into their health in order to create wealth for themselves and their organizations. Around their pre-retirement period they start “eating” into own and their organizations wealth in an attempt to reclaim the health they lost when creating organizational and own wealth. It does not work because that is not the way to manage personal health. It is imperative to understand that good personal health is the indispensable platform upon which retirement benefits will be enjoyed.
At Silversky Consulting, we offer personal health and wellness management training through talks, seminars and retreats to everyone who believes that the best way to protect their wealth is by protecting their health.
Our goal is to empower people to create wealth without eating into own health. We take people through programs that make people in leadership to appreciate that good health is the solid bedrock upon which wealth and retirement benefits are enjoyed, and that great wealth and retirement benefits that encounters poor personal health is founded on sinking sand.
Through this we strive to live by our corporate mission:
Making People Better, Healthier, Happier.

Corporate governance is defined as a system of rules, practices, and processes by which an organization is directed and controlled. The foremost governance structure of a corporate organization is typically the board of directors.

4. Healthcare Leadership & Clinical Governance Program
Clinical governance is defined as a framework through which a health system is accountable for continuous never-ending improvement of the quality of its services and safeguarding highest standards of care.
The foremost governance structure of clinical services is typically the clinical governance committee of the board of directors.
This is a specialized discipline targeting investors, owners, directors and managers of private and faith-based hospitals as well as healthcare business enterprises. The program revolves around quality of patient service, patient safety, provider safety, organizational reputation and financial sustainability. Clinical governance is all about how healthcare business enterprises are governed and managed as to make business sense to the investor and to provide value for money to the client or the patient.
Origin of clinical governance
Clinical governance has its origin in the UK from what came to be known as The Bristol Heart Scandal of 1995. This followed an expose’ by an anesthetist, Dr. Stephen Bolson, who exposed an extraordinarily high mortality rate for pediatric cardiac surgery at The Bristol Royal Infirmary. Following this expose, Clinical Governance was elaborated for the first time within the UK National Health Service in 1995.
In Kenya, clinical governance gained traction in 2018 when, at Kenyatta National Hospital, when a patient was being operated on the head, but midstream the operation, it was discovered it was the wrong patient for the operation. Subsequent inquiries and investigations pointed to failure in clinical governance procedures and protocols. There are many more examples of medical errors in both in public and private hospitals, hence the importance of clinical governance knowledge and skills to curtail such happenings to a minimum. In hospitals and healthcare institutions, the ideology of clinical governance is frequently presented as a strategy to safeguard patient safety, provider safety and highest standard of clinical care attainable.
Clinical governance is an offshoot of corporate governance of healthcare. While Corporate Governance is defined as a system of rules, practices, and processes by which an organization is directed and controlled, Clinical Governance is defined as a framework through which a health system is accountable for continually improving the quality of its services, and safeguarding high standards of care.
Traditionally, while the corporate governance (read board of management) component carries the responsibilities of clinical governance (clinical leadership), clinical governance does not carry the responsibilities of corporate governance. This discordant governance model steals synergy from the top echelons of healthcare governance and management and opens opportunities for operational errors. This has given birth to the concept of Integrated Governance, which refers to that oversighting space where corporate governance and clinical governance intersect.
Clinical governance is a specialized area of health care services administration and we offer this training and consultancy services to boards of management and top clinical leadership in hospitals and healthcare institutions.
Integrated Governance
Integrated governance is defined as that space of synergy where corporate governance and clinical governance intersect.
In many of our healthcare organizations, corporate governance and clinical governance do not speak to each other. Frequently, the two, though with similar objectives, are not even aware of the existence of the other. The result: A governance discordance. Eventually, this discordance constitutes a leadership and governance risk which is a significant threat to organizational sustainability.
At Silversky Consulting, we offer Healthcare Leadership and Clinical Governance Training through talks, seminars and retreats.
